The Henry IV’s first Plubfest event is today. They’re running two pool competitions – one for adults and another for the kids.
Kids Pool starts at 6pm, with the Adults Pool event starting at 9pm. Just time to take the family for a nice late-afternoon bite to eat before the kids’ event starts (well you wouldn’t want to play on an empty stomach, would you?)
Tomorrow sees their second event of Plubfest week – it’s Quiz Night at The Hungry Horse. If the last one we attended (by chance on an ‘official’ Plubfest visit) was anything to go by, it’s really good fun. Nice banter and not too hard – well it couldn’t have been that difficult, because we actually won! The photo round had us scratching our heads though, so we can guarantee the questions will get you thinking a bit!
And dad – if you’re into real ale, The Henry now has a couple of handpumps back on the bar. Abott Ale and Olde Trip were the Greene King beers we spotted there last night. Another reason to drop in this week!
